Bhaktapur Sightseeing Day Tour begins at 10:00 AM in the morning from your hotel. Moreover, it will take you to a brief tour in the ancient city of Bhaktapur. Additionally, it is also the smallest district and the biggest Durbar Square of Nepal. Furthermore, the tour also takes you to explore the historical Newar civilization, its culture and lifestyle.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

During the tour you will get an insight into Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Besides, it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes other four smaller Durbar Squares within. Dattatreya Square is the oldest square among the four and is situated a little separated from the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Moreover, this square is named after the Dattatraya Temple. Here Dattatraya, a unity of the trinity (Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh) is worshiped.

Another square known as Pottery Square is famous for its name as the place is occupied by the potters mostly. The view of the live pottery is a sight to the sore eyes. You might as well try it here yourself as well.

Nyatapola Temple

Bhaktapur is mostly famous for its Nyatapola Temple. It is the tallest five storied temple all over Nepal and lies within the Durbar Square itself. Moreover, the Durbar Square is a generic name for the Malla palace square. It can be found in Kathmandu and Patan as well. The one in Bhaktapur was considered the biggest and the grandest among the three during its time. But now many of the buildings that once occupied the square have been lost to the frequent earthquakes. Besides, only a few of the damaged buildings were restored. During its height, Bhaktapur Durbar Square contained 99 courtyards but today hardly 15 of these courtyards remain.

Juju Dhau

City of Bhaktapur is also known for its Juju Dhau, the King Curd. It tastes as good as to justify the same. Make sure to try some during your trip.

55 Window Palace

The 55 Jhyale Durbar, also known as the 55 Window Palace is another main highlighting attraction of the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The palace is a masterpiece of awesome wood architecture and art made by then King Bhupatindra Malla in 1708 A.D.
