The Annapurna Circuit 7 Days Trek is the quickest yet unforgettable thrilling journey through the heart of the Himalayas. Beginning with a hotel pickup in Kathmandu/Pokhara, this trek combines scenic drives, cultural immersion, and high-altitude trekking, ending with a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. In just a week, travelers experience alpine villages, terraced valleys, and the legendary Thorong La Pass (5416 m). Despite its compact duration, the trek offers a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and Himalayan beauty.
Your adventure begins with a comfortable hotel pickup from Kathmandu/Pokhara, followed by a scenic drive to Besisahar (840 m). Along the way, you pass rivers, terraced fields, and traditional villages, catching your first glimpses of Nepal’s lush countryside. The next stage takes you on a long but rewarding drive to Manang (3540 m). Meanwhile, the landscapes gradually transform from green valleys to alpine terrain, with stunning views of the Annapurna range and the Marsyangdi River Valley. Upon arrival in Manang, you rest and prepare for the trek ahead.
A vital stop on the trek is Manang. Here, trekkers spend an extra day to rest and acclimatize after a long journey. During this time, you can explore nearby viewpoints, visit monasteries, or enjoy the serene alpine lakes. Not only does this help prevent altitude sickness, but it also provides an opportunity to experience the tranquil beauty of the high Himalayas.
From Manang, the trek leads into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. Along the trail, you pass ancient monasteries, charming villages, and alpine meadows. Towering peaks such as Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak dominate the skyline, while the changing terrain provides a mix of rocky slopes, high-altitude desert, and lush alpine landscapes. Meanwhile, you experience Tibetan-influenced culture and the warm hospitality of local communities.
The highlight of the trek is the Thorong La Pass (5416 m). Early in the morning, trekkers begin the ascent under a starry sky. Step by step, the trail rises across rocky and icy terrain. At the summit, breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu unfold, offering a truly unforgettable moment.
After crossing the pass, the trail descends to Muktinath (3760 m), a sacred pilgrimage site, and continues through high-altitude desert landscapes to Jomsom, where Tibetan-influenced culture and striking desert valleys await. Finally, a short scenic flight carries you to Pokhara, giving aerial views of the valleys and peaks you traversed.
In Pokhara, the trek concludes with a chance to relax by Phewa Lake and celebrate your journey. This is the perfect moment to reflect on the adventure, the mountains, and the rich culture you have experienced along the way.
a. Spring (March–May): Blooming rhododendrons, mild weather, and clear skies.
b. Autumn (September–November): Warm days, stable weather, and excellent mountain visibility.
c. Winter (December–February): Crisp air, quieter trails, and clear panoramas.
d. Monsoon (June–August): Lush greenery, fewer trekkers.
