Every traveler arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu should be aware of their options to get to their hotel. This guide is for all foreign travelers to get to their hotel in Kathmandu.
Shortly after a tourist arrives at the international terminal of the airport in Kathmandu, one will be required to complete certain immigration formalities at the immigration desk. The completion for the visa processing will take about an hour.
You will then move towards the arrivals of the international terminal where you will be greeted by a Cordial Trek representative. For your convenience, our representative will be holding a placard / naming board with your / your group name on it. You shall however must have pre-booked / purchased at least one of our travel packages. We will then escort you to a hotel booked for you in a private vehicle.
Our Recommendation
- Please do not take any help whatsoever from unknown persons. If taken, consider a gratitude amount no more than 1-2 dollars.
- Our representative will be responsible for all your luggage and belongings to be delivered to your hotel.
Foreign Independent travelers
Regarding ‘Independent Travelers’ one can easily book a prepaid cab at the ‘Prepaid Taxi Counter’ to a hotel of your choice. The prepaid cab will cost you a maximum of USD 10.
Optional: We hereby recommend you to purchase a SIM card (available at TIA counter) with a carrier of your choice for easy communications services. For the same you will be required to present your passport and a copy of your recent photograph. The SIM card will cost you NPR 100 (equivalent to One USD). You may then buy the voice / data packages of your choice.
Arrival at your hotel
Once you have arrived at the hotel, you will be allowed to freshen up and rest for some time. At your convenience you will then be introduced to your tour / trek guide and briefed about your upcoming trip.
