10:00 AM: Bhaktapur Durbar Square Tour

Your Bhaktapur Day Tour begins at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the former royal palace complex of the Malla Kings and later the rulers of Bhaktapur until the late 18th century. The square is filled with stunning temples, palaces, and courtyards, all showcasing traditional Nepalese architecture.

 

Just behind the Golden Gate, you’ll find the beautiful 55 Jhyale Durbar, famous for its intricate wood carvings from the Malla period. From there, head to Nyātāpola Temple, the tallest monument in Bhaktapur and Nepal’s tallest temple, commissioned by King Bhupatindra Malla in 1702.
