Nagarjun One Day Hike, also known as Jamacho Hike, is a popular day hike destination to a hill located on the western edge of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. Hiking inside Nagarjun hills offers a magnificent view of the city while trailing towards Jamacho Gumba atop on the elevation of 2,150 m. The gumba itself is the main attraction of the Nagarjun Day Hike.
Besides, the hiking route also falls inside the middle of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. It thus offers stunning views of the surrounding valley and the Himalayan mountains. The visible mountain range here includes Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang and Jugal.

Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is the ninth national park in Nepal and was established in 2002. It is located in the country's mid-hills on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu Valley and named after Shivapuri Peak at 2,732 m altitude.

Travel Itinerary:
09:30 AM: Drive to Fulbari Gate in Goldhunga
The tour begins at 09:30 AM in the morning with a driver picking you up from your hotel in Kathmandu. You will then take a half hour drive to Fulbari Gate in Goldhunga.
10:00 AM: The hike begins !! (Max Altitude: 2150 m / 7054 ft)
The 4 hour return trip (hike) towards Jamacho Stupa begins from Fulbari Gate. You will then be taking a 4-5 km of climb including stairs and steps on your way uphill. The top of the hills sits at the height of 2150 m above sea level.
On your way up you may encounter many wild animals including Himalayan black bear, spotted leopard, deers, wild boars, monkeys and many species of birds. This dense forest is also rich in many species of plants, herbs and trees.
As you ascend, the clear weather allows you to witness the mighty Himalayas as well. The visible range here includes Langtang, Ganesh, Manaslu and jugal among others.
The top of the hills offers a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains and Kathmandu Valley. After a brief exploration of the place, the visitors will then begin their return journey back to Fulbari Gate.
02:00 PM: Drive back to your hotel.
After your hike, you will be dropped back to your hotel in Kathmandu at 02:30 in the afternoon.
